Wagman’s Geotechnical Construction group was subcontracted to design and install the deep foundations for a new scoreboard at FirstEnergy Stadium, home of the Reading Fightin Phils, located in Reading, PA. The project consisted of the Wagman team designing and installing 20 micropiles ranging from 16 feet to 41 feet deep. There was tight access to get to the work area, which required a small, specialized drill rig.
Key Challenges & Project Details
- The limited work area between the existing scoreboard and the baseball field proved to be a challenge, but the project team was able to complete the work safely despite the limited accessibility.
