Wagman Construction Receives Recognition for Central Penn Business Journal’s Top Projects Award

(York, PA) Wagman Construction is proud to announce its recognition for two award-winning projects in the Central Penn Business Journal’s Top Projects Awards. The Top Projects is a new awards program that honors the best building and construction projects in Central Pennsylvania over a 12-month span – from January 2023 to December 2023 – in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties. The awards are not only a look back at the excellent work that’s taken place in the previous year, but they also anticipate how these plans and projects potentially establish landmarks of the future.

York College Appell Horticultural CenterThe York College Appell Horticulture Center, a state-of-the-art higher education facility designed by EI Associates, includes all the necessary spaces for teaching, research, and student collaboration. It includes a lab for studying soils, a plant and insect lab, as well as a student research lab, an herbarium, prep rooms, study areas, meeting rooms, faculty offices, and support spaces. The building also features a living wall and plant display area that showcases the College’s commitment to sustainability. The living wall and plant display area will provide students with a unique opportunity to learn about plants and their role in the environment.

Dickinson College Alumni and Family CenterThe Dickinson College John M. Paz Alumni and Family Center, designed by Murray Associates Architects, P.C., boasts high-end finishes, an all-glass entryway, six private suites, office spaces, meeting spaces, technology suites, a brand-new kitchen, idyllic paver paths, a new fire sprinkler system, and a geothermal heat system. The design of this historic building included the addition of accessibility ramps and an elevator. By expanding the deck and clearing the land so it is more open, it provides more than 1500 SF of new outside entertainment areas and has become an inclusive meeting space for all.

Wagman Construction extends its gratitude to York College of Pennsylvania, Dickinson College, and all our project partners for their collaboration and vision in bringing these projects to life.
