Wagman Heavy Civil Awarded Contract for Route 234 & Sudley Manor Drive

(York, PA) Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. announces they have been awarded the contract for the Route 234 & Sudley Manor Drive Interchange project, located in Prince William County, VA.

The $64M design-build project for the Prince William County Department of Transportation is aimed to improve traffic flow and safety, while eliminating congestion along Route 234. The project scope includes replacing existing signalized intersections with a grade-separated interchange to accommodate future growth; widening Route 234, and construction of a new bridge between Sudley Manor Drive and Wellington Road. A pedestrian and bicycle shared-use path will also be incorporated to improve connectivity.

Designed by Rinker Design Associates (RDA), the Route 234 and Sudley Manor Interchange project marks the second design-build collaboration between Wagman and RDA in Prince William County, following the successful completion of the award-winning Brentsville Road Interchange project in 2024. Together, Wagman and RDA developed alternative technical concepts that optimized the design to improve traffic flow while reducing risk and lowering costs.

The project is currently in the design phase with construction slated to begin in 2027.
