McDaniel College Merritt Hall Renovations

Wagman Construction is currently underway with a 20,000 SF renovation of Merritt Hall (Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Early Childhood Education programs) on the campus of McDaniel College. The project spans all three floors of the building and includes selective demolition of existing offices, classrooms, and laboratory spaces to support a new, modernized layout.

New work includes the construction of offices, treatment rooms, laboratories, and a simulation apartment designed to enhance hands-on learning and functionality within the building. Unique features being incorporated into the space include a climbing wall and a dedicated yoga room with ceiling-mounted yoga swings.

Additional upgrades include the replacement of all flooring throughout both renovated and existing areas of the building, as well as modifications to the existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to accommodate the new configuration.

Construction is taking place while the lower level of Merritt Hall remains partially occupied, requiring careful coordination to minimize disruption. Due to the building’s central campus location, remote parking, laydown, and staging areas are being utilized.
