Wagman Receives Industry Award for York Academy’s Upper School

(York, Pa.) Wagman Construction, Inc. was presented with a 2019 Excellence Award for their York Academy Upper School project at the 2019 ABC Keystone Excellence in Construction Awards on November 6. Wagman’s project won in the category of institutional projects between $10 and $25 million.

Presented by the Associated Builders and Contractors – Keystone Chapter, the Excellence in Construction Awards recognize outstanding construction projects across the region. Projects are judged on execution of design, craftsmanship, safety, attention to detail, proper installation, evidence of extraordinary effort, owner satisfaction and other considerations.

The York Academy Upper School, located at the northern gateway of York City in Pennsylvania, is a 65,000-square-foot, three-story school that serves grades 8-12. Designed by Warehaus, the building features study lounges and flexible classrooms. It also includes a spacious PIAA compliant gymnasium, black box theater, technology center with maker space, cafeteria and a student-run cafe which is available to the public.

Partnering with Wagman Construction, Inc. on this project were Warehaus and Moore Engineering, Inc.
