Wagman Construction, Inc. Strengthens Team with Strategic Promotions

(York, Pa.) Wagman Construction Inc. (WCI) is pleased to announce that Amy Young is promoted to Vice President of Business Development and Jim Weber is promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction. Young and Weber join other WCI executives Mark Morrow, current Vice President of Construction, and Jan Wagner, President. “Amy and Jim are both dynamic team members. Each brings valuable and diverse experience and expertise to our Team, which will allow Wagman Construction to be a stronger partner in the markets and with the clients we serve. We are extremely proud of them for their hard work and dedication,” said Jan Wagner.

Jim Weber, who most recently held the position of director of preconstruction at Wagman for the past five years, is responsible for directing multiple functions preceding the construction phase including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, and contract management. He has over 27 years of experience working in the healthcare, senior living, pharmaceutical/laboratory, higher education, and corporate office building construction sectors for regional and international construction firms. As vice president of preconstruction, he provides leadership oversight and management for the preconstruction department. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in civil and construction engineering from Temple University.

Amy Young most recently held the position of director of business development at Wagman for nine years and has a diverse background in construction. As a former executive within the senior care industry for 21 years, Amy Young worked with general contractors on the owner’s side in the development of renovations and new construction projects. She brings this unique perspective to her role at Wagman, where she maintains existing business, secures new clients, and grows business and industry relationships. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from York College of Pennsylvania. Amy currently serves on the boards of Pappus House, and York Day Early Learning. In 2023, she was the Executive Leadership chair for the York Walk to End Alzheimer’s. In addition, Amy is a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA). Amy was also named a 2020 Women of Influence winner by the Central Penn Business Journal.
