(York, PA) Wagman Construction and Children’s Aid Society held a ceremonial beam signing on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the site of the new Children’s Aid Society’s Werner Early Learning Childcare Center. The event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing construction project aimed at expanding and modernizing Children’s Aid Society’s resources for children and families in need.
The beam signing event, a construction industry tradition, symbolizes the collaborative efforts of the project team and the community coming together to support the vital work of the Children’s Aid Society. Representatives from Wagman and Children’s Aid Society, along with project partners and local officials were present to celebrate this occasion.
“We are proud to contribute to a project that will have such a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families,” said Jan Wagner, President at Wagman Construction. “This beam represents not just the physical structure we are building, but also the commitment of our team to create a space that will serve the community for generations to come.”
The Werner Early Learning Childcare Center involves the construction of new spaces designed to enhance Children’s Aid Society’s ability to provide therapeutic services, support programs, and resources for children facing challenges in the region. The expansion aligns with the organization’s mission to offer hope and healing through care and education. The construction is progressing on schedule, and the ceremony marks another step toward the project’s completion, scheduled for early 2025. Attendees had the opportunity to sign the final beam, which will be placed as part of the facility’s structural framework in the coming weeks.
