Wagman Celebrates Completion of Tribute at Black Hill with Ribbon Cutting

(York, Pa.) Wagman Construction joined Thrive Senior Living, local dignitaries, stakeholders, and members of the community for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Tribute at Black Hill on January 23, 2020.

Wagman Construction served as the general contractor on the project located in Germantown, Md. Designed by THW Design, an Atlanta-based firm, the 110,000 square foot four-story building features 140 suites; 106 of which are assisted living and 34 are memory care. The project also includes bicycle paths, a memory terrace and an outdoor deck with fireplace.

“In the past year, we were able to deliver two high-quality projects to Thrive Senior Living,” said Mark Morrow, vice president and general manager at Wagman Construction. He adds, “I am proud of our team for their work to support Thrive Senior Living as they expand their footprint into Maryland.”

Designed to LEED® Silver standards, the project features locally sourced materials which furnished the majority of the building. Additional green features include reduced light pollution, storm water management system, ENERGY STAR® appliances, and an electrical vehicle charging station.
