The Perry Green Townhomes at Petersburg Commons are two buildings that contain 14 “for sale” townhomes, four of which are designated as senior housing. It is Pennsylvania’s first “green” affordable housing project.
The project’s green features include shallow, frost-protected foundations, a highly-insulated thermal building envelope, optimal value engineering framing, EnergyStar mechanical systems and appliances, metal roofs and locally-harvested, bug-killed hemlock siding.
The Petersburg Commons was a Design-Build project and included multiple federal and state grant sources.
