Wagman Heavy Civil is pleased to announce that Fred Thompson has joined their team. Fred brings nearly 30 years of experience in the highway, bridge and transportation industry, strengthening Wagman’s ability to pursue and deliver complex infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Serving as Senior Estimator, he will support preconstruction and estimating efforts for heavy civil projects, working closing with operations teams.
Fred received his degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. He began his career in highway and bridge construction, where he built a diverse background spanning estimating, project management, operations and business development. Throughout his career, he’s successfully delivered complex transportation projects, managed construction claims and schedule challenges, and provided leadership for programs ranging from local roadway improvements to major highway and bridge projects valued at more than $60M.
Fred has held numerous leadership positions focused on estimating, operations, mentorship and strategic planning. In addition to his professional experience, he served on the Associated Pennsylvania Constructors (APC) Board of Directors since 2008 and maintains a variety of safety and construction certifications.
