(Shrewsbury, PA) Wagman Construction celebrated the official opening of WellSpan Shrewsbury Hospital, which expands access to high-quality, community-based healthcare in southern York County and nearby northern Maryland. A ribbon-cutting ceremony held on March 11 marked the completion of the project and celebrated the collaboration among project partners and community leaders.
Wagman Construction served as the general contractor for the new 18,000 SF acute care hospital, delivering a modern, purpose-built facility designed to bring essential medical services closer to the communities it serves. The hospital is part of WellSpan Health’s smaller-format hospital model.
WellSpan Shrewsbury Hospital features a 24/7 emergency department, ten inpatient beds, and comprehensive diagnostic services, including ultrasound, CT, X-ray, and laboratory capabilities. The facility was designed to support efficient operations, patient-centered care, and a seamless experience for patients and staff.
The ceremony brought together WellSpan Health leadership, local officials, first responders, and project partners to recognize the completion of the hospital and its role in expanding convenient access to emergency and inpatient care.
“We are proud to have partnered with WellSpan Health to deliver a facility that strengthens access to critical healthcare services in this region,” said Jan Wagner, President of Wagman Construction. “This project reflects our team’s commitment to quality, collaboration, and building facilities that serve communities where we live, work, and play.”
