A $2.6 million design-build reconstruction of the single span Route 209 Bridge over Raymondskill Creek. The project was completed for the National Park Service and administered by the Federal Highway Administration.
Key Challenges & Project Details
- Existing substructure had to remain and be stabilized using a combination of riprap scour protection, micropile foundation and concrete deadman anchor system.
- Worksite was inside a national park in an archeologically significant area.
- The project specifications issued by the National Park Service and the Federal Highway Administration required grooving services.
