(York, PA) Wagman Construction has received LEED Certification for Interiors from the United States Green Building Council for its new office space in downtown York. Wagman believes that the project is the first, for-profit project in York County to receive LEED certification.
Among the “green” features of Wagman’s office space are high efficiency HVAC and electrical systems, water-saving plumbing features, low VOC-emiting paints and adhesives, and materials with a high degree of recycled content, such as recycled carpeting and particle board with 100% recycled fiber. In addition, by being located in an existing building the project avoided consuming new land and natural resources, and the downtown location with access to public transit and downtown restaurants and other amenities saves automobile trips and fossil-fuel consumption.
