
York County-based Wagman Construction, Inc. received a 2014 Excellence in Construction Merit Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors – Keystone Chapter for their StoneRidge Poplar Run additions and renovations project.
The Excellence in Construction Awards recognizes outstanding construction projects across the region and country. Projects are judged on execution of design, craftsmanship, safety, attention to detail, proper installation, evidence of extraordinary effort, owner satisfaction and other considerations.
StoneRidge Poplar Run, located in Myerstown, PA, is a continuing care retirement community consisting of independent living apartments and cottages, personal care suites and nursing beds.
A notable aspect of this project was the “Main Street” addition, which required highly intensive structural modifications to the core of the facility. Once completed, the space was transformed to house a group activity room, ice cream parlor, post office, gift shop, chaplain office, and large common area with water feature.
