Why Wagman for Green

Urban Projects

Wagman's Urban Group advocates redevelopment in Central Pennsylvania's downtowns, and understands
the challenging issues commonly associated with renovation/adaptive reuse sites and projects, such as:

Building deterioration
Environmental conditions
Historic tax credits
State/local grant funding restrictions and requirements

Sovereign Bank Stadium
Wagman's Urban Group served as Construction Manager for York's new, downtown minor league baseball stadium.

See our Featured Project page for additional information.

Greenway Tech Centre
(10,000 Friends of PA Commonwealth "Green" Design Award Winner)
Wagman's Urban Group served as Construction Manager for this first "green" speculative office building in York County, PA. Renovation of 48,000 square-foot building into a modern, high-tech office building, and construction of a 250-car parking structure.

DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre
Pre-construction and construction services for DreamWright's adaptive reuse of a 104-year-old building that once served as a farmer's market in the city of York. Renovations included the dramatic reshaping of the one-level theatre space into
a state-of-the-art, two-story "black box" theatre.

Historic Fairmount Project (Triple Award Winner - Preservation Pennsylvania Award, 10,000 Friends of
PA Commonwealth Design Award, Remodeling Award of Excellence)

Renovation of fifteen historic, single-family homes into 38 apartments and 1 new community room. Each home, originally constructed over 100 years ago, had fallen
into extreme disrepair. This redevelopment effort turned this blighted section of North Beaver Street in York into a safe and affordable housing opportunity for residents.

110 North George Street
(Preservation Pennsylvania Award Winner)

Wagman's Urban Group was the lead developer and general contractor for the 20,000 square-foot renovation of the former
D. S. Peterman building into restaurant and office space. The Harp & Fiddle Irish Pub and Restaurant occupies the basement, first floor and
most of the second floor. Bennett Williams Realty has its offices on the top two floors, and Prime Link Group occupies the remainder of
the second floor.

The Hahn Home
Wagman served as general contractor on the historic restoration of this magnificent property, built between 1916 and 1918 on South George Street in York, then severely damaged by fire in 2003. The restoration project
included structural renovation, fine carpentry, and other finish work.

The Lofts on George Street
Wagman's Urban Group served as general contractor on this Susquehanna Real Estate adaptive reuse project in historic downtown York, where 50,000 square feet of former industrial warehouse space was converted to create luxury loft-style homes.

"Without the perseverance and commitment of Wagman and its leadership team, this neighborhood would continue to be characterized only by its statistical data on the crime blotter. However, this neighborhood has been transformed and will leverage additional development, some of which is already begun. Thank you for your partnership, shared vision and perseverance."
