Commitment to Safety

PENNSAFE - Pennsylvania Safety First

Employees have worked very hard to develop the "Culture of Safety" which exists at Wagman Construction, and have signed a Safety Pledge, committing themselves to ensuring their own safety and the safety of others.

Wagman is a proud recipient of the PENNSAFE Governor's Award for Safety Excellence, which recognizes the successful safety programs that result in achievement of safety excellence. OSHA- trained safety personnel and a full-time Safety Director provide leadership to Wagman's Safety Committee, which is certified by the Commonwealth's Department of Labor and Industry. The Committee is responsible for evaluating Wagman's safety program, and is dedicated to constantly improving Wagman's safety practices.

Committed to being the premier contractor in the markets we serve, Wagman has adopted a Zero Injury Process (ZIP) safety initiative. ZIP, simply stated, says that no injury is acceptable, and raises the bar to the highest position of safety performance. Wagman believes that awareness is key to its safety performance, and communicates job site safety on a daily basis. Ongoing education and daily job site "huddles" keep safety first and foremost in the minds and activities of Wagman personnel.
As of July 28, 2008, Wagman Construction, Inc. reached EIGHT YEARS without
a lost-time accident.

For the past eight years, Wagman Construction, Inc. has achieved Platinum Level status in the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Awards program, sponsored by the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC). Platinum is the highest level of merit in this safety program.
