Located on the Asbury Methodist Village campus, the Hefner Community Center sits between the Wallace and Diamond apartment buildings and includes an auditorium, dining hall and common space.
While the Wallace and Diamond apartment buildings have undergone upgrades to modernize their space, the Hefner Community Center’s space has mostly remained unchanged since its construction in the 80’s. With these modernization efforts, the space now houses a pub/bistro and lounge, creating a casual space for residents to gather and socialize.
Additionally, upgrades and new finishes were made to the main entrance, while restrooms were converted for ADA-compliance.
Key Challenges & Project Details
- Interior renovations to occupied senior living facility common areas.
- Self-performed trades include demolition, rough carpentry, doors & hardware, and site work (pavers).
