The $54 million design-build project was awarded to Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. in January. Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is supporting Wagman as the Designer of Record. The project includes two passenger platforms with canopies, a three-tiered parking garage, at-grade parking, a plaza with ticketing and waiting areas, restrooms and an enclosed footbridge with views of Philadelphia Pike and the Delaware River. Access improvements will include new auxiliary lanes, traffic signals, a roundabout, sidewalks and a multi-use path to enhance safety and minimize congestion for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. Construction on the project will begin this summer and is scheduled to be complete in thirty months.
