Carpenter Current Position Open

Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden and/or metal forms, according to specifications, for molding concrete structures such as: piers, footers, retaining walls, abutments, parapets, caps, columns, bridge decks, etc. Saw lumber in blueprint dimensions, using handsaw or power saw, and nail lumber together to make form panels. Lift and handle built-in-place forms and/or assemble and erect and install prefabricated forms. Build rough wooden structures such as: scaffolds, temporary frame shelters, overhang jacks, and safety railings.

Concrete Technician Current Position Open

Ensure that correct concrete practice is followed and tests are carried out to ensure that the quality of construction materials used complies with the relevant specifications. Duties could range from shoveling, pouring, mixing and laying concrete to testing and measuring the characteristics and properties of concrete and surrounding soil under various conditions. ACI and Penn Dot Certifications are required.

Equipment Operator Current Position Open

Use machinery to move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites. Operate equipment that clears and grades land to prepare it for construction of roads and bridges. Operate machinery that spreads asphalt and concrete on roads and other structures. Set up and inspect equipment, make adjustments, and perform some maintenance and minor repairs.

Heavy Equipment MechanicSubmit Your Information

Diagnose and repair heavy truck and construction equipment (i.e., loaders, dozers, cranes, backhoes, etc.), including removal of defective parts and installing new rebuilt parts. Test repaired equipment to insure operating efficiency. Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair electrical systems. Repair hydraulic systems. Assist in dismantling and/or putting together cranes.

Laborer Submit Your Information

Perform tasks involving physical labor. Carry, load, unload and stack materials. Lay out material and assist carpenters. Dig with pick/shovel, rake, spread, and vibrate concrete into place. Climb embankments and ladders to carry material to various work sites on project as needed. Jackhammer and saw cut concrete. Strip wooden forms and remove nails as well as cleanup project site of debris.

Mixer Truck Driver Current Position Open

We currently have openings in Pennsylvania and in North Carolina.

Will drive/operate a mobile truck and maintain proper mix and calibration of the mobile mixer. Must be able to operate a rubber-tire loader and backhoe in order to load mixer. Must be able to control appropriate levers on the truck to discharge concrete within specifications provided by the contractor and owner. Will maintain driver’s log and other paperwork/record keeping and perform daily post-trip on vehicle and equipment. Will perform Laborer work when not driving. Requirements include a CDL Class A license w/ Tanker endorsement, the ability to work a flexible schedule during our busy season and willingness to travel to project sites and stay out of town for periods of time. Previous commercial truck driving experience is preferred. Must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company, meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements, and carry a physical exam card. Pre-employment background check and drug screen required. High school diploma or equivalent general education degree required.

Surveyor Submit Your Information

Plan and perform necessary stake-out work for each operation of construction on the project. Record all stake-out work for future reference. Read and organize drawings and keep revisions updated. Operate various instruments (i.e., transept, level, distance meter, and autolight) in performance of stake-out duties.

Surveyor Helper Submit Your Information

Assist the surveyor with stake out work for all phases of construction on highway and bridge projects located in Eastern Pennsylvania and Maryland.

The candidate will be working under the direction of a Project Surveyor. The successful applicant will be working as both a one man survey crew and assistant on a two man crew. Candidate proficient in the latest technologies in the surveying industry and experienced working with a Trimble Robotic Total Station and GPS Rover is a plus. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license including a clean driving record, and a proven track record of reliability, honesty and quality work verifiable through actual references.

Truck Driver Current Position Open

Operate/drive Terex euclid-type tandem-axle trucks with articulating dump unit. Will move material including soil and rock from location to location on the job site. Will perform routine maintenance to equipment on daily basis and. May perform some laborer duties when not required to drive the truck throughout a work shift.
